I joined NCPC in 2022 and took the role of Director of Operations earlier in 2023 and with 6 practices ranging from some of the smallest in the area to some of the largest, our challenges in delivering care can be varied. I am excited to be part of an innovative, not for profit solution to General Practice and to help shape the different opportunities that this model provides.
Originally qualifying as a Podiatrist from Southampton in the early 90s I enjoyed the first part of my career within the NHS both in Dorset and then in Cumbria. I moved into management initially managing Podiatry services and then progressed to more senior management roles across the NHS in both Community and Acute settings for the last 15 years. As well as managing a range of services, I have been privileged to work as part of the Health and Care system in North Cumbria with the implementation of the Integrated Care Communities and helping to shape how services and organisations can work together for the benefit of patients and our local communities.
Having moved to Cumbria over 20 years ago I am happy to call it home!, outside of work I have a busy life with my husband , 2 dogs, a daughter and 2 step children who are all growing up, heading off to university or starting work. I enjoy being outdoors especially gardening, walking or swimming in the lakes.
