Mandy Kennedy

Carlisle Locality Lead

I have worked in the NHS both locally and nationally for the last 20+ years, and have always been passionate about improving services and outcomes for patients. Before joining the NHS I worked in the private sector as an Agricultural Nutritionist both in the UK, and in Malaysia where I lived for 3 years.

I started in the NHS supporting GP practices to record clinical data in advance of the “new” GP contract and QOF, and since then I have undertaken a variety of jobs including service development, contract management, medicines management and project work in mental health, long term conditions and urgent and emergency care.

When I’m not working I love walking and very occasionally running with my 2 Border Terriers in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. I am also trying to redesign my garden, fitting this in between ferrying my son to school.
