I have worked in a series of health administration and management roles with increasing responsibilities in Workington for the past 15 years where I acquired a broad knowledge of Primary Care in North Cumbria. Working as Project Support Officer and Commissioning Manager in Workington gave me the background and knowledge to develop local health services based on local population health needs, plan services to meet those needs and deliver better outcomes for our patients.
I was involved in the team that led the development, project management and implementation of town-wide services in Workington including the Workington Primary Care Centre. I had the privilege of managing this town-wide project along with the key clinicians that redesigned how ‘on the day’ care was delivered by the five Workington practices while improving access for our local population.
I am committed to supporting NCPC develop sustainable, fully integrated primary care services that creates better services for our patients and improves the working lives of our staff.
I am married and have two daughters one of whom is a Primary School Teacher and the other a Staff Nurse at the West Cumberland Hospital.
