I am currently the Lead ACP for NCPC and also work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Eden medical Group. My current dual role covers both clinical work in Eden Medical group and in a leadership capacity covering the 5 GP practices across North Cumbria Primary Care Alliance.
I have 20 years’ experience as a qualified nurse. I have extensive experience in both Accident and Emergency nursing and Primary care. The last eight years of my career I have been working autonomously as an Advanced Nurse practitioner in both Primary care and Accident and Emergency. I have also worked in a nurse lead Minor injury department in South Yorkshire and I have out of hours experience working in CHOC in Carlisle.
I was born in Carlisle and moved to Edinburgh for 4 years while I completed my nurse training. After qualifying to be a nurse I moved to Sheffield where I lived and worked for 14 years in Accident and Emergency departments of Rotherham and Sheffield. I met my husband in Sheffield and I am now a busy mum of two wonderful children, a dog, a hamster and five fish!
