North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) Industrial Strike Action 11th January 2023

On the 11th January 2023 the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) that services the population of North Cumbria will be taking industrial strike action. Ambulances will still be available to respond, although they will be prioritised for life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The public should only call 999 if it is a medical or mental health emergency (when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk).

We anticipate that this strike action will put additional pressure on General Practice and patients may experience delays in access to our services.

Below is public information that is aimed to help you manage any urgent care you may need on these days.
